1950’s Girard Perregaux Veri Matic 14ct

Watches made for the USA market in the 50’s and 60’s have a rather cool and interesting look to them. They often are very bold and make a statement with large lugs to make them stand out. This Girard Perregaux was retailed by the jeweller Genseler Lee. They were a jeweller who outsourced their watches to manufacturers. Cased in 14ct yellow gold it is a beautiful looking watch with a textured finish and large dog leg lugs.  Oh and let’s not forget the original diamond set dial. Most certainly a watch that would strike up a conversation!

Interesting Fact “Girard-Perregaux origins can be traced back to 1791
