1963 Omega Constellation 167.005

£2,200.00

The Omega Constellation was first introduced in 1952 and was launched as a high end dress watch, and it really does hit the mark. This one has all gold battons along with hands, giving it a really elegant look. In excellent condition, it isn’t a watch that will stick around. The Dog leg lug version of the Constellation is in our opinion the best one they made. The case looks simple at first, but there are geometric faceted edges on the rather long extended lugs that make the design interesting from the sides. A watch on the up with collectors and increasingly hard to find in excellent condition.

Interesting Fact “The name “Constellation” was derived from the emblem featured on the caseback, depicting an observatory with eight stars positioned above it. These eight stars hold significance, representing Omega’s achievement of two chronometer records and six first-place awards earned between 1933 and 1952.”
