First launched in 1966 using the Omega in house calibre 865 the Chronostop was a new kind of chronograph. The 1969 Omega Chronostop 145.009 is a vintage timepiece that captures the essence of an era. With its distinctive asymmetric case design and bold dial featuring a single chronograph dial, this watch exudes a unique and retro charm. Intended to be the more affordable and youthful alternative to the Speedmaster, with its variety of colours and smaller size. Perfect for driver timing a lap or 1/4 mile. It features a 60 second chronograph in which one button both starts, stops and resets the running second hand. This particular Chronostop features a stunning slate grey dial.
Interesting Fact “As well as the 6 usual colourways you are used to seeing from the Chronostop blue, white, red, brown, green and grey. There was also a special Japanese edition which consisted of a dark blue and a sunburst silver.”
