1970’s Blancpain Aqua Lung 101558

1970’s Blancpain Aqua Lung 101558. This particular watch is incredibly rare, original designed for divers and adopted by the a number of naval forces across the world for there divers. Although i don’t this many of them would be suitable for diving today. Aqualung was the name of Jaques Cousteau’s line of diving equipment, and the Blancpain watches that were sold in his shop bore the name “Aqualung” on the dial. Some of the dials were emblazoned with a red and yellow radiation marker to show if the watch had been exposed to radiation. As at the time of the cold war everyone was rather paranoid, this particular model doesn’t. Featuring a roulette wheel date disc is is a grail watch for a lot of collectors!
