1970’s Heuer Autavia 15630 T MH Bezel

Over the years there have been many different versions of the Autavia. This version was released in 1972 for a staggering $255.00. Thick case and of course the Cal 15 Automatic chronograph movement, a later updated version of the original cal 11/12. This Heuer Autavia has a silver dial, original MH bezel, original signed crown and signature cut out pushers. Overall the watch is in very clean condition and a rare execution with the MH bezel.

Heuer famously ran an interesting add campaign with the Autavia In 1972. The Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company offered a unique promotion allowing customers to acquire a Heuer Autavia chronograph for the price of $88. To qualify for this special offer, customers needed to provide proof of purchase for a carton of Viceroy cigarettes, which typically contained ten packs. Notably, during this promotion, the Autavia chronographs were available at a significant discount compared to their regular retail price of $200 through authorized dealers.
