1970’s Heuer Incabloc 1529 Champion Dial

Presented here is a captivating Heuer chronograph dating back to the late 1970s. Originally made by Monnin the same artisan responsible for the renowned reference 844 dive watch. Made even rarer buy the special Champion logo on the dial. Originally given to the top salesmen in the Champion company, back when they were a necessity in the motoring/racing industry. Champion spark plugs were an iconic brand and are still something we recognize today.

Notably this watch incorporates a convenient quick-set date function with a roulette wheel, simplifying the watch-setting process to a seamless experience. The tonneau-shaped case is adorned with “open style” lugs, facilitating effortless strap changes. The dial of this particular watch is mint along with the case it really is like new old stock!

Originally featured in the Heuer 1978-79 catalog, this model commanded a price of 230 Francs, underscoring its esteemed status during its initial release. Of course, with the co-signed dial this version wasn’t available to the public and was a special order. Who knows how many of these actually exist, but they arent a common sight.  Altogether, this Heuer chronograph from the late 1970s stands as a testament to precision craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and enduring style.
