1986 TAG Heuer 180.023 Spirotechnique

£2,450.00

These watches are absent from contemporary TAG Heuer catalogues because, like other “Professional” products, they were sold through specialist dive shops rather than traditional jewelers. it is thought that these watches were available from around 1985-1990 but with TAG Heuers poor record keeping at the time it’s hard to get an exact date. Luckily this watch still retains its date marker inside. Made as a robust tool watch this really is a functional watch. Although we don’t recommend diving in it now.

La Spirotechnique has manufactured a wide range of scuba equipment, including regulators, fins, instruments, masks, suits, and even cameras. Notably, La Spirotechnique produced the first waterproof camera, the Calypso Fot. They later sold the patent for this camera to Nikon, which used it to develop the Nikonos line.
Interesting Fact “Spirotechnique is legendary, and several other watch brands are also co-branded with the iconic brand including Doxa, Squale, Triton, and Auricoste”
