1988 Omega Seamaster Polaris 396.1022

Released in 1988 for the Seoul Olympic Games, the Polaris watch Omegas bid to keep the official timekeepers title it had held since 1932. Designed by the famous and world renowned watch designer Gerald Genta, the man behind the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautalus. The lozenge-shaped case and its integrated bracelet were clearly intended to look futuristic, to encourage shoppers that the brand hadn’t lost its relevance, buts it’s the combination of materials that really sets this watch apart from anything else in existence. The watch also features inlaid 18ct gold, even though on first appearance it may seem plated. A cool futuristic watch with a nice bit of history. This one in mint condition could be yours.
